Electronics and Communication Engineering

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Electronics and Communication (E&C) Engineering Department was established in the year 2014 by the Srivenkateshwaraa Group of Institution who are known for their strong organizational principles and hi-end technology in education sectors. The E&C Department offers an Under Graduate program in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Department possesses a good blend of experienced as well as highly motivated, young, energetic, well trained competent faculty members. The Faculty members have imbibed and adopted some of the best academic practices. The major goal of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is to produce competent and resourceful young engineers who can perform well in a wide variety of job profiles and capable of taking up post graduate studies. To achieve this, the curriculum includes both the analytical and technological aspects of E&C Engineering. The Departments conduct varied extracurricular activities which help in developing the overall personality of the student. It also provide sample opportunities to students to work on mini-projects, develop communication skills, explore internship opportunities in Industry and world-class universities and take part in national and International events. The Laboratories consist of all the latest equipments to meet the dynamic changes in the curriculum. The passed out students are working in various reputed Industries in India.

Vision

To become an academic excellence in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering by imparting the deep knowledge to the students, facilitating research activities to meet the industrial demands and community needs.

Mission

  • To provide a creative environment through structured teaching – learning process.
  • To achieve academic excellence.
  • To strive towards efficient industry-institute interaction.
  • To serve the needs of the society through R&D activities.
  • To inculcate self learning attitude, entrepreneurial skills and professional ethics.
  • To provide excellence in education, research and public services
  • To provide quality education and to make the students entrepreneur and employable
  • To enable the students to improve skills to solve complex technological problems of current issues and also provide a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary activities.

ECE department has several laboratories, including a computer lab for academic needs of undergraduate and research & development. All labs are well equipped with the standard apparatus and software to facilitate students to carry out R&D projects.

The Department of ECE has the following laboratories:

Electronic Devices & Circuits Lab

Students conduct experiments on the characteristics of various semiconductor devices like diodes, BJTs, UJT, FETs, DIACs, TRIACs, and more.

Students handle equipment such as CROs, function generators, regulated power supplies, multimeters, bread board trainers, ammeters, voltmeters, trainer kits, etc.

Digital Circuits Lab

Students measure the performance of different linear and non-linear wave-shaping circuits and digital circuits using 74xx series of ICs.

Students work with CROs, function generators, regulated power supplies, multimeters, breadboard trainers, trainer kits, etc.

Communications Lab

Students get hands-on-experience on various analogue modulation techniques such as AM, FM, PM and detection methods.

Students get hands-on-experience on various digital modulation techniques such as ASK, FSK, PSK, QPSK, PCM, and DPCM.

Linear IC Applications Lab

Students gain hands-on experience on applications such as linear and digital integrated circuits using LM555, LM741, 723 integrated circuits.

The major equipment includes linear IC trainers, digital IC trainers, oscilloscopes, function generators, breadboard trainers, regulated power supplies, IC tester, etc.

Microprocessors & Microcontrollers Lab

Students train in microprocessors, microcontrollers and interfacing peripherals programming concepts.

Equipment available includes microprocessor kits, microcontroller kits, interfacing modules, breadboard trainers, regulated power supplies, CROs etc.

Microwave & Optical Communication Lab

Students conduct experiments on optical fibers and microwave bench. Equipment available includes microwave benches, optical fiber trainer kits, digital storage oscilloscopes, LASER diode trainer, and LED characteristics. Other advanced labs also conducted in our department.
