HIGHLIGHTS OF TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

In the current corporate scenario, the competition for employment is increasing and getting a job and building careers has become a daunting task. Training the students to make them technically competent and equipping them with life-skills has become an integral responsibility of the institution. Along with shaping up a student’s technical expertise, working towards developing a holistic personality is also necessary. To meet these requirements, a fully fledged Office of Training is operational in SVCET, working towards enhancing the capabilities of the engineering graduates to make them on par with the industry standards.

Skill Enhancement Program

Most of the students in our college have come from a rural background and their language skills and employability skills are not up to industry requirement and moreover skill set is evolving rapidly. To cope up with the rapid change, students are trained in specific areas that will help them to explore new knowledge, attitude, and skills, both personally and professionally.

Hence the skill Enhancement Program was introduced in our college. Under this program, our students undergo training and learning for about 360 hours as course duration. The students undergo training in Communication, Soft Skills, Interview Technique, Mathematical Aptitude, Verbal Aptitude, Group Discussion, Personality Development Exercises, Managing Emotions, Time Management, and Stress Management. They are also trained and given opportunities to enhance their skills like public speaking, presentation skills, body language and preparation of reports
