Institution with Industry Center of Excellences (ICoE)
Sri Venkateshwaraa College of Engineering & Technology (SVCET) is a vibrant higher education Institute, established in the year 2014, with the objective of producing ethical Engineers through Industrial exposure. SVCET is affiliated to Pondicherry University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The SVCET is not just concerned about quality education, but also molding the students to apply the acquired knowledge and skill for economic growth and social development of our nation.
The SVCET has established ‘Industry Center of Excellence (ICoE)’ to provide a Cutting-edge Technologies courses to upgrade the Students knowledge and skills on the emerging technologies. It is envisioned to establish and working in partnership with the Industry to address emerging skill gaps, align training and research based on industry needs. The Faculty members are trained with these technologies and to become an academy certified educators.
The specific aspects of our institution is cohesive educational strategy which addresses the overarching goals of providing high quality of technical education and research development through human resources, fostering innovation, and preparing students for the needs of the region and the nation needs has been achieved by our ICoE which encourage entrepreneurship to resolve the problems of mankind.
Objectives:
The ICoE is established to serve with the following objectives:
- To become an ICoE for Corporate Academics;
- To promote faculty trained as academy certified educators;
- To provide access to corporate’s learning management system and its virtual internship to the students in cutting edge technologies;
- To provide technical and placement support in the trained domains; and
- To establish collaborations with industries for research, product development, and human empowerment.
SVCET’s established the ICoE during 2021 – 2022 academic year with the support of EduSkills Foundation for the following corporate academics: Palo Alto Academy, Blue Prism Academy, AWS Academy, Celonis Academy, Alteryx Academy and Juniper Academy. Additional, ICoE was established in the Academic Year 2022 – 2023 with Tessolve Semiconductor.
SVCET is strongly focused on the cutting-edge technologies which intend to drive and promote initiatives to achieve organization goals. It encourages the students to enroll with the courses offered and guide them to acquire the essential skill set and knowledge of the new technology to sustain in the Industries.
Our Institution scheduled the technology courses for the student of each semester according to their specialization. The Cutting-edge technology courses would ensure the technical career growth of the Students making them to more competent and handle the new technologies during their career at this current scenario for the precursor to placement.
The development of skill and competent human resources in accordance with modern needs which is the primary function of an Engineering Institute and SVCET is marching ahead for achieving these goals.
The performance of all the established ICoE of Universities & Engineering Colleges in all over India was rated and recognized in an Annual Conclave, “Eduskills Connect 2022” at New Delhi on 23rd December, 2022. Hence, SVCET ranked as 25th position at all over India based on the number of students who have completed the AICTE virtual internships.
